Welcome Friends, I trust you leave this page a little

A Butterfly in the Wind

A child is like a butterfly in the wind

Some can fly higher than others,

But each one flies the best it can.

Why compare one against the other?

Each one is different.

Each one is special.

Each one is beautiful.

AND SO IT IS WITH HIS CHILDREN

"How Precious Are Your Thoughts Toward Us

How Great Is The Sum Of Them!"

Psalm 139:17-24

SO MANY OF US STRUGGLE WITH SELF-ACCEPTANCE

OR WE ARE HARD ON OURSELVES IF WE DON'T MEASURE UP TO

OUR EXPECTATIONS (with progress etc) OR THAT OF OTHERS.

Take it easy on yourself, and the compassion you have on others...... have for

yourself. You can do that, you can actually show Compassion on yourself

and let The Lord bring Healing as you step towards Him this way.

To be at Peace with Yourself is to be at Peace with God.

You can't have one without the other.

David and Joseph had this and so must we, aye?

Each One is different

I cannot change the way I am,

I never really try,

God made me different and unique,

I never ask him why.

If I appear peculiar,

There's nothing I can do,

You must accept me as I am,

As I've accepted you.

God made a casting of each life,

Then threw the old away,

Each one is different from the rest,

Unlike as night from day.

So often we will criticize,

The things that others do,

But, do you know, they do not think,

The same as me and you.

So God in all his wisdom,

Who knows us all by name,

He didn't want us to be bored,

That's why we're not the same.

As You’re Reading This, Be Ready

Starting here, what do you want to remember?

How sunlight creeps along a shining floor?

What scent of old wood lingers,

what softened sound from outside fills the air?

Will you ever bring a better gift for the world

than the breathing respect that you carry

wherever you go right now?

Are you waiting for time to show you some better thoughts?

When you turn around, starting here, lift this

new glimpse that you've found; carry into evening

all that you want from this day.

This interval you spent reading this, keep it for life –

What can anyone give you greater than now,

starting here, right in this room, when you turn around?

Being compassionate helps me to be a more peaceful, happy person.

When I Am Among The Trees

When I am among the trees,

especially the willows and the honey locust,

equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,

they give off such hints of gladness.

I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,

in which I have goodness, and discernment,

and never hurry through the world

but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves

and call out, "Stay awhile."

The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, "It's simple," they say,

"and you too have come

into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled

with light, and to shine."

When We Plant A Rose Seed In The Earth

“When we plant a rose seed in the earth, we notice that it is small, but we do not criticize it as "rootless and stemless." We treat it as a seed, giving it the water and nourishment required of a seed. When it first shoots up out of the earth, we don't condemn it as immature and underdeveloped; nor do we criticize the buds for not being open when they appear. We stand in wonder at the process taking place and give the plant the care it needs at each stage of its development. The rose is a rose from the time it is a seed to the time it dies. Within it, at all times, it contains its whole potential. It seems to be constantly in the process of change; yet at each state, at each moment, it is perfectly all right as it is.” And so it is with us.

Wild Geese

You do not have to be good.

You do not have to walk on your knees

For a hundred miles through the desert, repenting.

You only have to let the soft part of your body

love what it loves.

Tell me about your despair, yours, and I will tell you mine.

Meanwhile the world goes on.

Meanwhile the sun and the clear pebbles of the rain

are moving across the landscapes,

over the prairies and the deep trees,

the mountains and the rivers.

Meanwhile the wild geese, high in the clean blue air,

are heading home again.

Whoever you are, no matter how lonely,

the world offers itself to your imagination,

calls to you like the wild geese, bright and exciting --

over and over announcing your place

in the family of things.

Jesus says, “Come away with Me. Come and smell the Flowers!”

The Mirror

Her very modern bathroom mirror

never really had the ability to captivate

her true delicate feminine beauty

under all the household light

She very gently picked up

the silver antique hand mirror

her grandmother had left to her

after passing away a year ago

Her grandmother received the mirror

as a gift from her lifetime sweetheart

when she was just a young woman

it was by far her most treasured item

She slipped out of the house silently

and found her feet taking a hold of her

guiding her to the center of the flower garden

that resided on the back of the property

The dark sky was filled to the absolute brim

with hundreds of blinking crystalline stars

the full moon was wearing a golden hue

and crickets greeted her with their nightly song

Filling her lungs with the night-time air

she closed her eyes and just listened

hoping to hear her grandmother’s voice

then almost laughing out loud at the notion

As she opened her pale blue eyes

the moon, in all it's golden color

shone brightly upon her face

and she raised the silver mirror slowly

She peered deeply into the mirror

like she was searching for something

something much more important

than the appearance of her face

A gentle wind came upon her

tussling her late night bedroom hair

and she heard the faintest whisper

coming through the trees

Sounding like her grandmother’s voice

she thought for a fleeting moment

perhaps it's a message from beyond

she smiled at the possibility

Her young ears

simply heard

what they needed to hear

“she was beautiful and loved”

As her head lowered on her pillow

she fell into a much needed slumber

with a genuine smile

on her beautiful face.

Ten Thousand Flowers In Spring

Ten thousand flowers in spring, the moon in autumn,

a cool breeze in summer, snow in winter.

If your mind isn’t clouded by unnecessary things,

this is the best season of your life.
